Don’t you sometimes find it weird most bios about an individual and their website and/or body of work is written in the 3rd person. I mean when we give a mini-bio about ourselves we don’t speak of ourselves in the 3rd person. So guess what, I shall not do that with you.

I, Justin Reid, was born in the great city of Brooklyn and suprisingly still live there. Ironic isn’t it? My interest in photography began in my younger years; by the way when I say young I mean between the ages of 6-13. I was always interested in capturing and preserving memories of my youth. It wasn’t until 2004 that my interest became a passion and that I wanted to do something more with the medium. I received my BA in Studio Arts from the City College of New York where I concentrated in the area of Photography in 2010. In the spring of 2010, I had the opportunity and priveledge to intern at the Richard Avedon Foundation, one of the world’s most renown fashion photographers of the mid and late 20th century. My work has been exhibited locally in group shows. Twice at the City College of New York (Annual Photography Show, 2009 & 2010) and at the Clemente Soto Velez Cultural & Educational Center (Heterotopia Group Show, 2010).

I hope that you will continue to journey with me along this exciting ride that is, my blog!
