Dance Study: Chanté S. Rowe
Dancer: Chanté S. Rowe
It’s funny that I’m posting this image in the Dance Study category of my blog, because this session started off as a regular portrait session. I wanted to get back into the habit of doing portraits outside of my dance study series and called upon Chanté to help me get back into the swing of things. The first hundred something shots were definitely portrait shots and then something strange happened when we reached the Bethesda Arcade in Central Park, a dance pose appeared. I honestly forgot if Chanté did it on her own or if I told her to do it; maybe it was a strange combination of the two…Lord only knows. Then after that one pose, another one comes about, and then another. By this point, I’m not shocked that she is doing dance moves or poses, but I’m shocked that she is doing this in 6 inch heels; and not complaining. So yeah, we were doing a simple portrait session and a JRP Dance Study session took place. Lol!
After packing up, I had a moment of satisfaction. I’m really glad that this happened, it’s slightly different from my other images because Té isn’t in a leotard (or other dance clothing) and she isn’t in pointe shoes. She’s just in regular everyday clothing and still doing a dance pose. And so, I add this shot to the Dance Study collection and make it available for viewing pleasure.
