Well, I thought I’d take a different approach when it some to posting photos from a Dance Study session. Instead of posting anywhere from 5-10 images per session, I just post one image per post. Maybe, writing about the one image posted will be more beneficial then writing about the entire set. Who knows. Let’s experiment though shall we 😉
This was the first time I had the pleasure of working with DeAunna (aka @missd33 on Instagram) and when I noticed that she had braids, I asked if they would still be in for the session. While she said they were coming out soon, she also said she’d keep ’em in for the session. That was great to hear, because I wanted to grab a shot of her in motion and her braids in motion as well. While we did other motion shots, I wanted her to do a leap in the street and have her head go back so that her braids would be captured in motion. And here before you the end results.
In this shot I created two copies of the image in Lightroom and changed the EV (exposure value) of each one so I could do a HDR composite. Nothing to crazy in regards to HDR, just wanted to see what could be done with it. And lastly, finished the image off with a black and white conversation. Thoughts?
